There
is a Western metaphor that denotes a person born into wealth and position: "He
is born with a gold spoon in his mouth." But who has ever really seen a spoon
made of real pure gold? At the Taipei International Jewelry Exhibition (to be
held in the World Trade Center on Xin Yi Road, Taipei, starting on September
14) an invaluable dining set designed by Supreme Master Ching Hai will be on exhibit.
The "Heavenly Dragon Imperial
Cutlery" is the true legendary gold spoon that will be exhibited for everyone
to see with their very own eyes. Made of pure gold, the dragon-headed spoon
has an imposingly dignified dragon engraved on its handle, possessing great
artistic value. Those who were not "born with a gold spoon in their mouth" can
seize this once-in-a-millennium opportunity to appreciate it and truly experience
an emperor's feelings of dining with a gold spoon.
In addition to the gold spoon,
the "Heavenly Dragon Imperial Cutlery" set also includes pure gold chopsticks
whose ends are adorned with an exquisite, delicate gold chain to pair the two
chopsticks together; a gold imperial bowl decorated with flying dragons as vivid
as if they were real dragons mounting the clouds and riding the wind; along
with a set of elegant gold dragon teacups in which the dragon decorated around
the saucers are paper-thin, and splendidly shining that one has to look closely
to see it. Gold forks, plates, etcetera, are also included in this set.
