In the Calcutta Center, the sincere spiritual aspirants enthusiastically discussed Master's teachings.

Due to the sincere request of some members in Calcutta, a special video lecture
seminar for the Hindi-speaking spiritual aspirants was held at our Calcutta
Center. Some governmental officers and journalists were also invited to attend
the program to enjoy Master's pearls of wisdom.
Most of the audience were
the relatives and friends of our fellow practitioners, would-be initiates and
Convenient Method practitioners. Many of them came to know about Master's teachings
many months ago. However, due to the lack of materials of Master's teachings
in their native languages, it was difficult to convey a proper message to those
who came inquiring for more information about Master's teachings. Therefore
they sincerely requested us to arrange a special seminar to introduce Master's
teachings to the Hindi-speaking audience.
Our seminar started with the
introduction of Master's basic teachings and the benefits of practicing the
Quan Yin Method. During our introduction, the part of the audience who came
from life-long vegetarian families were pleased to know that all Master's disciples
follow the precept of "ahimsa (non-violence), keeping a life-long pure vegetarian
diet, which proved Master's teachings are in accordance with the golden teachings
of the ancient Indian sages. Thus, some of them eagerly applied for initiation.
(Even nowadays in India, most of the Brahmin families still follow the ancient
tradition of keeping a strict, pure vegetarian diet.)
One fellow practitioner's
wife joyfully said to us that recently Master has granted her a baby boy. Since
the beginning of her pregnancy, she has followed a vegetarian diet under her
husband's recommendation and often meditated on Master's image. She said, "Compared
to the last three pregnancies, this time I felt much more relaxed and light,
always in better health than before." Therefore from now on she and the baby
would never eat any non-vegetarian food.
After our brief introduction,
Master's videotape was shown to the audience. They all attentively watched the
whole tape. When the video came to the part showing Master on Her world lecture
tour, the audience were surprised to learn that as a female Guru, Master still
frequently travels all over the world in order to elevate the spirituality of
human beings; and they all admired Her untiring sacrificing spirit. Many of
them also volunteered to help introduce Master's teachings to all their friends
and associates. Some journalists said to our fellow practitioners, "The ideology
of your Master should be wide-spread throughout this country. We will try to
make people aware of this. Some governmental officers expressed, ''We wish that
we could invite Master to India to spread the holy message.'' Many sincere spiritual
practitioners have been attracted by Her infinite light and supreme wisdom.
After the seminar, all the
guests were invited to have some delicious vegetarian refreshments while they
enjoyed themselves in appreciating Master's artistic creations exhibited in
the Center's art gallery. Many of the guests praised, "Your Master has truly
shown us how to put our enlightenment to practical use.
While the seminar was going
on, our "young guests were taken care of in the Center's library, entertained
with some children's spiritual teaching materials and children's educational
computer programs prepared by our fellow practitioners. They were so absorbed
in the program that they felt reluctant to leave until the last minute when
their parents called them to go home.
