While On The Path

In the past years, brother Lee actively participated in the work at the Center or in the ashram so as to develop his own tolerance, loving heart and increase his knowledge. Besides, he has also learned how to mix and work well with other people. He deeply believes that doing Master's work is the best method to break through the obstacles created by the mind.

Before, brother Lee had the habit of wanting to escape any work he did not like or he had not done before. Take the work of the kitchen staff as an example! Before taking up the work, he always had the idea that to work in the kitchen would mean a sacrifice in meditation time. Besides, the work of cooking rice and making meals were very unfamiliar to him. Therefore, he hesitated for a long time. Later, under the repeated recruitment by the head of the 'kitchen crew', he gathered his courage and went up to the front line to 'try'. Now, he can feel the harmonious atmosphere when working together with fellow practitioners. With the division of work among the many people, delicious dishes can be made one after another very quickly and delivered to the numerous Bodhisattvas. The many worries of difficulties and tiredness he had in his mind before were unnecessary. In fact, his spirit has become more lively in the harmonious atmosphere.

According to brother Lee, it was very easy to discover his own faults and then rectify them by doing Master's work. For instance, without any fixed form, the sense of pride, jealousy and the desire to show off would be unveiled. Furthermore, he, himself, would become very sensitive to what his fault were and be able to see his own ego so that he would try hard to improve or break through them.

In these few years, through working, he has also come to the understanding of how to 'lead' and 'follow'. When he was the leader of the group, it was the best chance to exercise his talents and organizing abilities. He also learned to observe at normal times how to lead the whole group in the various ways of doing things and enliven the atmosphere. He could also increase his own abilities by observing more and learning how to plan and get things accomplish. He really understood that, whatever the work or position it may be, it is always the very best chance that God has graciously given to us to train and remind ourselves in how to manage things in the most perfect way. Therefore, a sense of gratitude and a sacrificing heart is undoubtedly the best way to thank God.

As one of the lecture working staff, he also had many chances to be close to Master. He saw with his own eyes how Master works hard for so many things without even any regard to Her own tiredness and difficulties. Once, there was a continuous thirty some hours of work without resting for even one second. The Master power and the extremely concentrated manner of work had left a deep impression in his mind. He always felt that he could not catch up with Master. Therefore, he became happier when he had the opportunity to follow Her instructions and guidance.

In spiritual practice, he also realized that when the work accompanies the meditation, the outcome is more synergistic. He said, "If one only works without meditation, the quality of work will deteriorate; if one only meditates without working, it would be very difficult to discover one's own goodness and weakness." He wishes that he could have more courage in the future to face the challenges in work, to break through the barriers in his own mind, to be more perfect in completing the jobs done in accordance to God's arrangement and be able to advance spiritually.

Brother Lee also hopes to share with all fellow practitioners, the learning and growing together through working and sacrificing.

Mummy! The stormy and surging path of this child, all because of Your blessings and love, has changed into such a leisurely journey, like riding on a yacht. It was Your elegance and style that have soften the stony heart of this child, and gave consolation to the unsettling feelings of the wanderer.

Mummy! This child had broken Your heart and made You cry. In the unaided journey, this child had also cried because the target of life could not be found. Nevertheless, You would always light a lamp on the way home to remind us of the direction. Inside the lamplight, there would be love waiting for us for our journey.

Mummy! This child will be strong and continue to walk on this rugged way home. Because when the light comes on, when the melodious music is faintly making its sound, this child knows that You are leading in the front and that You are waiting for this child at home.

Mummy! We love You. Many thanks for Your love and Your persistence through all difficulties. We would like very much to tell the whole universe, "It is really good to be Master Mummy's child, we are the most fortunate darlings in the whole universe."

Since my participation in the Taipei news group, Master's blessings have continuously surrounded me. The wisdom of 'love' has manifested everywhere. I understood thoroughly that: The love between the Self and Master is, indeed, very deep! I also really experienced that: Hes gave me confidence, wisdom and courage; helped me to pass through critical moments; improved difficult situations; and helped me to nurture my heart to yearn for the Truth, to leave the bitter sea and to be liberated and enlightened! All difficulties are caused by karma and the rules of cause and effects. Or, they are due to the lack of deep understanding of the love of a Master, or having a big ego and lacking confidence.

Master has said, "Don't be afraid of work. The more we work the more we become intelligent and quick! Sometimes, you are forced to finish the work in a very short time. That is meant so that your potential power has an opportunity to emerge." Not long ago, the group leader gave me a mission to design a poster for the recruitment of articles for Mother's day. From the just-learned computer word processing at the start, after repeated trials and errors, to the final product, together with my son, a primary school brother, Master's warm love continuously filled my heart. Because of Her blessing, this instrument was able to finish the work in a short period of time. This also made me realize deeply that the great and omnipotent Master had used this opportunity to help this disciple give up many preconceived ideas and habits, and put down a lot of heavy karma.

After this training, the inner spirit grew a lot. Dealing with problems became clearer and faster with confidence. The habit of indecisiveness started to disappear after being cleansed by Master's loving power. Those worries that had accumulated over a long period of time also vanished and I became more confident. After practicing, as I became more connected with the omnipresent and omnipotent great power inside, the negativity and doubts in my heart were erased and my future course turned around!

Many thanks to Master! She uses different methods to save sentient beings. Within these methods are a lot of mystical teachings which can not be understood by the ordinary human mind. I sincerely appreciate Master's love and great wisdom. These have motivated me to practice more diligently so as to repay a little bit of the God's grace.
