We spiritual practitioners must have courage. Having courage doesn't mean we use it to quarrel with other people, or to let them know that we are heroes. It is not like this.
Since we are practicing for the Truth, we have to represent this Truth every moment. We represent an ideal that we like, otherwise how can we get close to It? If we do not follow It, do not protect It, and do not grasp It, then we will drift further and further away from the Truth!
Also, we know when we do not have courage. When we do not do the right thing, we will not respect ourselves and cannot be satisfied with ourselves. This is most important.
Whether people see us as heroes, whether they praise or agree with us, whether we succeed or fail -- are of these are unimportant. It is most important for us to recognize our own capabilities and discover our courage, and then we well achieve self-confidence. Do you understand?
Only this is the most important thing. This is the way that we should practice the Truth. Practice at every moment and on every occasion. We should not just sit cross-legged for two and a half hours.
These tests serve to let us know how much and how great our confidence is. Are we going to fall just by a blow of wind? We should be able to stand firm against the eight winds!
