My True Home

By Fellow Initiate Chu, Mainland China

I want to go home, I want to go home.
That home
Is my true origin,
My eternal home.

Although, in this world,
Fame, fortune and beauty are very glamorous,
In the end,
The bubbles of attraction burst.
In this world,
The attachments of loved ones are hard to break,
But after all, this is not
My permanent home.

Just because of the ephemeral colors and splendor,
I was lured
Into such a misery!
Just because of the passing feelings of love,
I have exhausted myself.
How pathetic!

I want to go home, I want to go home.
Go back to
My true origin,
My eternal home.
Please, Mother Ching Hai,
Hurry, take me
Back to that eternal home.
If someday
I learn my way home,
I pledge
To come back to take the rest home.

Not Fast Enough...

By Fellow Initiate Xie, Taizhong, Formosa

I can't listen fast enough
To Your teachings that touch my soul.
What admiration I have
After watching tape after tape of Your video lectures!

I can't appreciate enough
All the appearances You pose for sentient beings.
What beautiful surprises
Those attractive photos of You!

I can't relish enough
Your unique creations that are so beyond this world.
What thoughts
Have crystallized into those original works of art!

I can't absorb fast enough
Your words that unveil the ancient mysteries.
How enlightening
The little parables that move our hearts!

I can't describe enough
Your delicate feelings that have been baptized in tears.
How soothing
The poems that silently touch the heart!

I can't embrace enough
The protecting grace You bestow upon me wherever I am.
How touching
The accounts of Your amazing wonders!

I can't hang on fast enough.
I can't make changes fast enough.
Bit by bit,
You carve away the faults that are buried deep within me.
Drop after drop
Your tears shed in the darkness.

Yet all these
Are the great love
From my compassionate Master
To Her not-fast-enough disciple.
