Sending You My Longing

By Fellow Initiate Xiao In Taipei, Formosa

Because of You,
The worldly affairs transformed into droplets of nectar
Gliding into my heart.
I never knew memories of You could be so sweet,
Connecting You and I.
You, turning around, look as innocent as a child.
Blinking Your eyes, the stars, moon and sun lose their charm!

Remembering years ago in Formosa,
With a robe full of patches,
You talked with wisdom and humor,
Dispelling ignorance at once.
Along the beaches and by the mountainside where You trod,
A humble tent was Your only shelter.
Undaunted by the harsh environment,
You walked on steadily, over lands and seas.

Through storms of misunderstanding and attack,
You patiently carried on with Your mission.
Changing many images to comply with the affinity,
Remaining unchanged are:
A heart of utmost purity!
Words full of wisdom and humor!
Blessings flowing incessantly!

Because of You,
The Tao so earnestly sought was revealed.
I never knew before
That the Word of God could be realized with such certainty;
That the flaws in me could be corrected so easily!
Because of Your perfection,
The ancient masters appeared on earth,
Lao Tze, Chuang Tze, Confucius, and Meng Tze came to life,
And the realm of Quan Yin afar is within reach.

You are -- my magnificent Master who led me to the Path;

       -- my gracious parents who nurtured me as I grow;
       -- my dearest friend who sustained me through hardships;
       -- my eternal lover who will accompany me to the other shore!

Knowing that You haven't gone afar,
Yet I cannot hold my tongue tonight,
Truly, because of my heartfelt gratitude for Your grace,
I wish to send You my longing.

Dear Master,
Are You well in the land far away?
Please take good care of Yourself.
May You be healthy forever...

The Stream Of Grace

By Miss Huynh, Sikjew Refugee Camp, Thailand
(Originally in Au Lac Language)

Even though darkness,
Quickly elipsed the Earth.
I still have the Holy Mother;
Always by my side.

My life, like a duckweed,
Drifting with the stream.
Because I have the Holy Mother;
I am lonely no more.

Like larva in a cocoon,
Protected by the silk.
Glorious palaces inside,
Free from worries and thorns.

Tomorrow I'll Leave Palawan..

By Fellow Initiate Nguyen From Hsihu, Formosa
(Originally in English and Au Lac Language)

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Rain drops are falling
Like tears in one's heart!
The eyes quietly follow my steps
And the little angels sob silently

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Wandering into the unknown horizon
You came to the hotel to bid farewell
Performing a dance in the little room
To cheer me up!

Oh, little sisters!
What have I to give
Except a bleeding heart
And a shattered life full of broken dreams!

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Rain drops are falling
Like tears in one's heart!
Dear sisters, please come near me
Together let us keep warm
Because the sun has gone down
And storms are coming from
The far away ocean.

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
The island where saints and devils together reside
Leaving behind
The innocent eyes
And the faces of purity
Who never asked
Tomorrow what will happen
Who never wondered
Why human life's full of suffering and bitterness

Only ten years old
Already spent half of life
Behind barbed wires and cold steel gates
Guarded by soldiers equipped with rifles.

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Leaving behind the countless ocean waves
The happy, the sad memories
Of beautiful friends
Who have taught me
Human duty and love

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Wandering into the unknown horizon
Looking for answers
To unsolved questions

Tomorrow I'll leave Palawan...
Rain drops are falling
Like tears in one's heart...
