Liquid pearls falling on cheeks.
Crying for refugees who are sentenced to life.
Time buried adolescence in cages and tortures their present.
Grenades, tear gas and big armor
Blindly shoot on women, the young and the innocent.
What sins were committed? Only freedom
Which is easy to say but so difficult to find!!

From a distant dangerous place far away,
They landed in the so-called free world .
Only to find out: it was just an illusion.
Lives imprisoned with assaulting walls
Place where youthfulness and talents have been forgotten.

Generation after generation,
They have endured all, awaiting a brighter day.
Unexpected typhoons and thunderstorms attacking thousands,
They long to live , to speak freely,
And to laugh as naturally as the heart beats.
Freedom and peace,
So simple a dream.
But oh God, black power has oppressed thousands,
With no arms except bare hands,
Of those who only know how to sit in silence to plead.

Lives have passed away in a strange land
Where freedom has not been granted.
They would rather die than to go back to the place
Where they perilously fled.
Yet Hong Kong Government keeps falsely labeling them:
Refugee for Food , Economic and Not Political !

Master, I cried when I saw You cry,
Your endless love permeating the whole universe,
Tiring journeys from one country to the next,
Knocking door to door,
Pleading for the refugees.
Accepting any conditions of agreement to help,
Asking for nothing except open arms to receive the refugees,
The freedom seekers of the world .

Many nights without sleep, many meals untouched,
Your sad eyes thinking of the Boat People .
If only the Hong Kong Government had a bit of human compassion,
The world would be more beautiful.
Your sparkling eyes are so tender and bright,
Will forever brilliantly shine in the night.
Wishing that the world would have fewer suffering lives.

not because of Your finery

Longing for You
not because of Your beauty

I salute You
because of Your courageous attitude

I admire You
because of Your supreme wisdom

My heart is attached to Yours
because of Your infinite loving kindness
