[Seoul] On May 8, 2000, before beginning Her lecture in Seoul, Master asked the 10,000 people in attendance to pray for peace between South and North Korea. So, the audience members offered a brief prayer with Her in the lecture hall. Then, on June 13, the 50th anniversary of the Korean War, as the world watched in anticipation, the presidents of South and North Korea held a historic summit meeting. They agreed to begin a cultural exchange program and to allow long-separated family members from the north and south to see each other. Since the War, Korea has remained the only divided country in the world, so the Korean people are having a difficult time adjusting to the drastic changes in their history brought about by the summit. The situation is similar to the signing of the Kosovo Peace Agreement last year, just at the moment when Master's European lecture tour ended. The two Koreas began to swiftly move toward peace immediately after Master's Oceania and Asia Lecture Tour was completed.

The fact that the Korean people can not believe that such a major historical change has occurred is very natural, since even political experts did not expect it. Powerful countries related to the Korean peninsula were also very doubtful about the actual results of the summit meeting, just like many Korean people who had long been disappointed by previous meetings between North and South Korea. However, the meeting surprised the world as the two presidents produced epochal results, agreeing to work together for the reunification of the two Koreas! In August, estranged family members from North and South Korea will begin visiting each other. The two leaders also agreed to cooperate in the areas of culture, sports, economics, etc., and the leader of North Korea promised to visit South Korea some time in the future.
